Turin and the big single-brand stores

Torino e i grandi negozi monomarca

The single-brand stores in Turin: the big brands looking for prestigious locations and advertising in the city center.

The single-brand stores in Turin are constantly increasing, this is now a fact. A phenomenon in constant expansion, which sees the big international brands increasingly engaged in the search for exclusive locations where to open their stores. The objectives of this strategy are aimed at increasing the popularity of the brands to give further push and prestige to the business of the large groups behind it, large companies capable of giving themselves more and more exclusive spaces in the symbolic places of the cities where to set up the new stores. This trend, which involves the central streets of all the big cities , concerns all the big brands. To take care of your image and increase your popularity, you resort to opening in the squares and the most courtly streets with a strong impact on the media. Turin is no exception and here too there are examples of this kind. For several years our city has been gradually losing its historic shops , thanks to an economic crisis that continues to make its effects felt. It is in this context that the major brands and the most well-known chains fit in, so they can take advantage of these illustrious goodbyes to open a new store or a new boutique . In recent years, Italian and foreign brands from every sector, but above all from fashion, have landed in the city. The latest case is that of Drumohr, the historic Scottish knitwear brand founded in 1770 in the city of Dumfries. It has recently passed into the hands of Italian entrepreneurs who, after starting an expansion process that has already affected other cities, such as Milan and Alassio, open the third Italian store in Turin.

In Turin, of course, there is no shortage of shops with the most famous names in fashion.

Entrepreneurial realities that have taken root in the Piedmontese capital for some time now and that are perhaps considering moving or opening new ones. This is the case of Armani , which boasts a boutique in Piazza San Carlo, at number 145. The closure of this summer in via Bruno Buozzi, however, should represent the starting point for the introduction of the Armani Exchange brand into the city. The Armani corner is also open inside the Rinascente . We are talking about a location of unquestionable elegance, in the heart of the city (in via Lagrange), which is slowly remaking its look through restorations and new openings. In the shadow of the Mole, indisputable pillars of this sector cannot be missing, one of these is Gucc i, which welcomes the Turin public in its very popular store in via Roma 112 . Gucci is one of the main brands in the luxury sector and is close to celebrating one hundred years of activity, it could not fail to be present in one of the most important streets of the city. As for the new openings, in this period fast fashion brands are the main protagonists. Several shops are opening between the center and the province (there is a lot of focus on the Turin Outlet Village and on the shopping center Le Gru , in these cases) several shops H&M, Zara, Levi’s e Calvin Klein, to name a few. A turnover of shops that gives great prestige to these brands that are carving out primary roles in clothing proposals not only in the city center . Obviously, there is talk of realities that aim at a completely different market target with respect to luxury brands. In short, the brands ready to bet on the center of Turin are constantly growing. The ambitions of these companies, now present all over the world, combine the desire to increase their turnover with the need to show off their prestige, finding a place in the heart of large cities. A trend that does not seem to be able to stop in the short term, given the continuous exchange of new activities.
