Turin and Golf: a winning combination

Turin is not just football. In the world of sport, often and willingly, our city has risen to the headlines for the historical enterprises of Turin and the continuous successes of Juventus, which have made the Piedmontese capital known all over the world. In the shadow of the Mole, however, football is only one of the sports capable of giving prestige to Turin. Among the other disciplines in which Turin excels, in fact, there is also Golf. A sport reserved for the few, which has unique and elegant characteristics. The combination of golf in Turin is certainly a winner. Our city, in fact, has produced many talents in this discipline. The Molinari brothers are an example. Edoardo who has won important awards such as the World Cup, the Scottish Open and the US Amateur, while Francesco who has won the British Open. It is only the tip of the iceberg of the school of talents produced by Turin, which continues to train highly competitive players. A positive tradition which, over time, will hopefully continue.

The Geocup: the charity event in which Valentina C will be the protagonist as a sponsor

The Geocup is scheduled in the city of Golf on Saturday 15 September. This is a competition organized for charity purposes, which will take place inside the Golf le Fronde di Avigliana. Now in its third edition, the race was born from the initiative of two historical members of the club. An appointment that, every year, is a great success, thanks to the large number of sponsors, participating players and their guests. A race linked in a fundamental way to the charity dinner organized concomitantly. This appointment has already made it possible to collect, in the first edition of 2016, the figure of 9 thousand euros, which was intended for people affected by the earthquake, in need of financial support. In the second edition, of 2017, the funds raised were donated to two associations directly involved in helping the needy in our area. The goal of Geocup 2018 is to confirm and, if possible, improve the results obtained in previous editions. All this can happen thanks to the numerous companies that will sponsor the event, including Valentina C, who will support this initiative with a noble purpose together with many other companies.

Geocup 2018 program

For the Geocup 2018 the best 18 hole 4-hole race formula will be adopted, the best stableford. On the course there will be a fruit stand between the green of hole 6 and the tee of hole 13. From 14:00 a Tender Bar will be set up with a free drink for all those taking part in the race. The consumption will be paid for all for charity fundraising. There will be a putting-green race for all participants of the race, payable by them, open to all and with unlimited spins, in order to increase the collection of funds for charity. For the occasion, an area dedicated to the fitting of the Odyssey company will also be set up. There will also be a physiotherapy and massage treatment area available to players. For the entertainment of children, who will not try their hand at the race, there is the presence of an animator, who will take care of the organization of activities. Starting from about 18:30, waiting for the award ceremony to begin, there will be an aperitif with oysters and champagne. The award ceremony will begin around 19:30. As for the prizes, as already happened in the last edition, special awards are foreseen on each hole. In addition, a hospitality tent will be delivered for score collection and a gadget will be delivered with an aperitif at the end of the race. Afterwards there will be a charity dinner, which will be enriched by musical entertainment and which will conclude with a prize draw. Finally, a small hospitality village will be set up, as had already happened in the last edition, where the various participating sponsors will be able to present their products and services. An unmissable event, where there will also be room for a photographer. The latter will immortalize the most beautiful and important moments of Geocup 2018 and will make the day unforgettable in the true sense of the word
